The GRE or Graduate Record Examinations is a multiple-choice admissions test used to test the applicant’s readiness for graduate-level work. The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills non-specific to any field of study. In addition to the general test, students may demonstrate their extensive knowledge by taking one of the eight specific subject area tests:
